Principal's Welcome

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our Waverley Meadows Primary School website. I hope you find the website informative and that it gives you a sense of what a wonderful learning environment we offer for your child.  I am very proud to be the Principal of such a vibrant learning community.

Waverley Meadows provides challenging, innovative and engaging programs, assisted by great resources and a dedicated staff. Our Literacy and Numeracy programs focus on the learning of key skills essential to becoming excellent readers, budding authors and excellent mathematicians. High expectations ensure that every child is achieving and succeeding at all stages of their learning journey.

Additionally 21st century skills are extended through the use of digital technologies, problem solving activities, creativity thinking, reasoning and team work.  Our engaging ‘Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program’ explores environmental issues, sustainability and real life learning experiences. You can read more about these programs under the Teaching and Learning section.

Our school also prides itself on developing the whole child.  Developing caring, resilient, respectful, co-operative and considerate students underpins our teaching and learning programs.  Our strong emphasis on connecting with every child ensures the development of a friendly, engaging and supportive learning environment. High quality teaching and learning is surrounded by an atmosphere of care and respect.

Visitors to our school frequently comment upon our positive, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Members of our community are made to feel welcome- students, parents, older and younger siblings, volunteers, visitors and staff.   I invite you to come along to Waverley Meadows and experience this atmosphere for yourself.  I look forward to the opportunity to showcase our school and develop a long and strong partnership with your family as we share the exciting journey of primary school together.
